Migrate Server Centos 7 to Unbuntu 22.04 with privacyidea version 3.0.1

Now, I have a server Centos 7 running privacyidea with version 3.0.1

So, I want to migrate Server Centos 7 to ubuntu 22.04 , Please help me step Migrate Privacyidea 3.0.1 to 3.12.1.

This is some really old stuff! This will not be that easy!

I would recommend the following

  • run a database dump of your existing installation
  • install a new privacyIDEA 3.12.1 on Ubuntu.
  • Copy your DB dump there and also the enckey to the Ubuntu machine
  • Now you would have a privacyIDEA 3.12.1 with an old database underneath on your Ubuntu
  • Run the schema update script on the Ubuntu.
