I am looking for an solution to limit the number of tokens per type if there is any.
I see there is a policy to limit number of tokens generally but not per type.
If there is not, I would like to add as a feature request if you think it make sense.

There is no feature, that does this.
But depending on what you want to do (limit per user, limit per se, when do you want to limit) you probably could use the event handler framework. Hm - but I think the conditions als do not check per tokens per type.
Sounds a bit tricky and there is no straightforward answer to this.
