I’m about to install and start learning the basics of privacyIDEA. I have a very basic question before I start. Can one server be used to authenticate computers on different networks? For instance, if I setup a PrivacyIDEA server at work, can that server be used to authenticate logins of my computers at home?

welcome to the privacyIDEA community.
Any application or computer, that can contact the privacyIDEA server on the network level can send an authentication request.
This means, if your machine at home can contact the privacyIDEA server at work via HTTPS, then the machine at home can use the privacyIDEA server for authenitcation.
